Singing along with car audio rockers

Ok, so I finally got myself a new caraudio set to replace my radio-and-cassette (yes) set from 1990 or so that was still in there.

It's one of those that play mp3 and wma files not only from a burnt disc, but also directly from your memorystick or mp3 player, because it features a usb port. Perfect!

So as a Sinterklaas gift (Dutch December 5th Santa Claus) I asked for a 1GB memory stick which I subsequently loaded with Stones (and some other) music. If the ripping is not too heavy, you can get some 300 songs on it. (Ripping new discs like ABB or LL to wma is no problem, it just takes some longer, with Mediaplayer that is.)

I ripped at 128 the almost complete Stones record collection since Let it Bleed, and together with the odd bootleg song, this makes an extensive and surprising shuffle.

However I found out that some songs just don't do it in a car to me. E.g. Emotional Rescue songs miss something. The sing along value, the 'road song' feeling.

Me I absolutely search for:
- We don't wanna go home (made for the car)
- Infamy
- Worried about you from LL
- New Faces
- Stop Breaking Down

- Anything by De Dijk
- Anything by Johnny Cash ("But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die!")
- All because of you by U2 (sorry yes)
- Buddy Joe by The Golden Eearring.

Which songs do you think fit best as sing-along-rocker for the car?

Well, I wish I would have the guts to buy one of those bloody things. And : I just love so much music. (Not only the Stones - U2 made a hell of an album too! as you have noticed)

Bjorn, it was an ALDI supermarket thing which cost me 70 euros and my nephew who runs a garage built it in for another 30. I'm clumsy you see. This was done easily.

Anouk is HOT!
But I wouldn't want to marry her...

"Do you think I really care" should be great for a long drive thru the countryside,
you'll think your car has two horses pulling it pretty fast winking smiley

Let It Bleed (the song) is great for in the car. Others that come to mind are Radar Love and Stay With me. The best thing is to play air drums in the drivers seat.

I recently did something similar, but with an iPod and cassetteplayer-adapter. Great stuff smiling smiley

I want one of those for my dad's car! Any idea where I can find one? Expensive?
