The origional poster is from th US during WW2 when the men were off to war the women worked the factories in the US. She is known as Rivet Rosie. It was part of the US propaganda of the War.

mdb:

If you're looking for a Christmas gift, check the official Stones store.

In "The Men's Room" area, they are selling the 1978 tour poster image on a red t-shirt.

No, Rosie the Riveter was a popular poster during WWII, this is not that poster. Normal Rockwell did the most famous painting for the Post cover (see second link) and the other was a U.S. propaganda poster (see first link)

Here's Rosie [www.yellow-springs.k12.oh.us]

and another

Isn't this poster where the woman is supposedly the daughter of a high rnaking Chinese Communist Party member? I understand China wasn't very pleased about it.

She was at the time, the Premier of China's daughter. He demanded final approval of the poster before the Stones could sell it. When he saw the way his daughter was depicted, he refused to give permission. It was too late to put together anything else, so there was no "official" tour poster that year. I went to a R N R convention on 7th Avenue in a hotel right across the street from MSG. I saw it, and started arguing with the guy about the price $45. I pointed out that he had an older poster (1972) on sale for only $5. He said "take it or leave". So I bought it and it has been hanging on my wall ever since.
