Mick Jagger und Keith Richards, die seit der Grundschule befreundet sind, bilden den Kern der dienstältesten Rockgruppe der Welt. 1961 lernen sie den Gitarristen Brian Jones kennen, und unter dem Namen "The Rolling Stones" treten sie zum ersten Mal am 12. Juli 1962 im Londoner Marquee Club auf. Mit Bill Wyman am Bass und dem Schlagzeuger Charlie Watts sind die Stones ab 1963 komplett und bereit für die große Karriere, die mit der ersten Single "Come on" im Juni 1963 beginnt. Mit ihrer rauen Mischung aus Rythm 'n' Blues, Rock 'n' Roll, Blues und sarkastisch-zweideutigen Texten werden die Rolling Stones zu Superstars. Songs wie "I Can't Get No Satisfaction", "Paint it Black", "Lady Jane" und "Let's Spend the Night Together" begeistern die Fans weltweit.

450.000 Zuschauer feiern die Rolling Stones bei ihrem Kurzauftritt im Rahmen des Open Air Konzerts "Toronto Rocks" im Downsview Park im Juli 2003. Musikalisch unterstützt wurden die Stones dabei von Justin Timberlake und den Rockern von AC/DC.

but Keith made one thing clear - anyone on stage with Keith, beeing offended, must consider a guitar clubbing over their head
witch is quite right from the stage point of view
