Record Crowds?

I saw the announcement for the Copa., Rio, Brazil free show, scheduled for 18 Feb 2006.

Do any IORR-Tell Me readers know what the record crowd is for a concert (free or paid) for the world? I know for a *paid* rock concert, the record was McCartney back in Apr '90 @ Maracanara (spelling?), Rio (180,000?).

Wasn't there a free Rod Stewart show that brought in a million folks? What about the "Free Nukes" (I think that was the title) show in Central Park, New York?

Of course, the largest attendances at Stones concerts have been:

Toronto--30 July 2003--450,000
London (Hyde Park)--5 July 1969--250,000 to 300,000 estimate
Livermore (Altamont)--6 Dec 1969--est. 500,000 to 600,000
Knebworth--21 Aug 1976--200,000

I think this topic has been discussed a couple times in the past. It's difficult to estimate crowd sizes for huge festivals. Altamont might have had 250000 or as much as 500000.
Rod Stewart played Rio and the crowd was estimated at 1 million.
AC/DC played Moscow in 91 and the crowd was estimated at 1 million.
Several performers have done free shows in New York Central Park with large estimated crowds.
