Rain Fall Down is on the Top 20 of the AAA chart.

On The Billboard 200, ABB is #154 on week 14 with 404,000 copies sold and Rarities is #195 after 3 weeks on chart with 45,000 total.

Geez,I'm one of only 45,000 other suckers who bought "Crappities".....well, its the Stones fault of marketing a shitty collection so badly.

Still, they probably top Billboard's concert list every week. I guess thats good for something.

45,000 copies.....Is that the record for the lowest album sales figure for a Stones album?

Live Licks dropped of the Top 200 after 2 weeks (while Rarities is still charted after 3 weeks) and has sold 111,000 copies to date. I think that Rarities will sell better with the tour behind.

I was in Starbucks and they had taken down a rack with about 30 copies of each CD and were returning them. They'd sold two in 4 months.

If the ROLLING STONES can't sell more than 45,000 copies of an album (I'll bet Englebert Humperdink sells more than that), and 404,000 of a new studio album they should just quit releasing CD's.

And don't tell me about the changing market for CDs...look at how Madonna and Bon Jovi's new albums have done!

No excuse...either switch record companies and hire Rick Rubin as your producer (Tom Petty dealt with him....Mick needs to suck it up), or quit embarrassing yourselves and just tour like the B-52s with no new albums and just play the hits.

Rolling Stones wine, the Rolling Stones on 'Days of Our Lives' and at the Super Bowl...what marketing GENIUS! (Sarcasm)...and the new album at #154 the week before Christmas.

PLUS...an album like 'A Bigger Bang' couldn't get a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year, but Paul McCartney's could? GET NEW MANAGEMENT AND A NEW RECORD COMPANY.

SAD SAD SAD.

I heard that Starbucks printed almost 300,000 copies of Rarities for US and many more for other stores. They expected good sales as the Alanis album that did more than 400,000 in 5 months.

According to RIAA, Virgin printed more than 1 million copies for ABB in US but it will take years and years to reach that mark.

If this sharp sales decline keeps going, I see the end of the road around the next curve. Oh well, they've had a good ride along the way.

Mark my words, with that many unsold copies of "Rarities", you'll see them in the clearance and bargain racks very very soon. Starbucks has got to get rid of them somehowe.

Jagger's "Goddess in the Doorway" sold so poorly in Dallas-Fort Worth, that it was being given away for $2....and it still didn't sell.

Well, the album is #154 on the Billboard 200 but the main chart excludes catalog and 2+ years old titles from the list, with all the catalog albums inside, ABB is #189 on the national chart (there are 35 old albums that sold more than ABcool smiley. Rarities must be #250 or something.
If we see the Stones US albums sales since Sep. 6, they sold 620k including their back catalog:
404,000 ABB
68,000 Jump Back
45,000 Rarities
39,000 Forty Licks
12,000 Sticky Fingers
10,000 Exile

I received the rarities CD with the purchase of two packages of Guerrero flour tortillas at my local supermarket. What a deal!
