RIP Marianne. Among other wonderful things, she belongs essentially to the story of The Rolling Stones.

She was a wonderful and often overlooked artist in her own right. Her fingerprints are all over the classic Stones period.

I watched you suffer
A dull aching pain
Now you've decided
To show me the same
No sweeping exit
Or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter
Or treat you unkind
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I know I've dreamed you
A sin and a lie
I have my freedom
But I don't have much time
Faith has been broken
Tears must be cried
Let's do some living
After we die
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them some day

These some wonderful interviews with her on YouTube. She embodies that kind-of upper-middle class, well-spoken Englishness that’s dying in London; and indeed, she has passed.

Sad news ....
So many different paths of life you wandered up...
The mind keeps flashing images of you and Anita rolling and laughing in each others arms again.. X

Safe journey
May angels guide you all the way

It feels so bizarre that she's gone. In a weird way I still think of Marianne as Mick's only "real" relationship.

Strange ya write that Glimmerest .....

Years ago there was a Marianne doco ... title escapes me
But near the end she spoke of how Mick was the only man she ever really loved ...

First Anita, then Charlie, and now Marianne...I've been reading that Mick has paid for her housing and nursing care over the last few years...kudos to him, if true.

Hope her end was peaceful and she did not suffer unduly.

Of all the Stones 1960s girlfriends, Marianne was the most beautiful. She always caught my eye.

So sad.

That era is way too quickly fading away...

But Mick and Keith are seemingly gonna outlive them all

Very sad news. Another piece of the Stones family is gone. Most of us never met you, or saw you in concert. Still, it feels like we where in family with you. You suffered in pain a lot in your life, still you lived long. We love you Marianne. Rest in peace.
