Hope they'll do a remix and/or add Bonus tracks and a live concert. Wonderful News.

It will be welcome .
But it was a great sounding record to start with...
...so the bar is set quite high for anybody looking to improve it with a remaster.

A remix? But it's the best sounding album the Stones ever recorded.
Good question. GHS's original mix was removed from the market for good. Unless you'd like to hear brickwalled 2009 remaster, which is still available but only as an overpriced Japanese SHM-CD .Quote

But we won't loose the original mix. I'd love to hear it in 5.1. For me a remix is a different way of hearing an album, not a replacement. And as I love Black and Blue I really hope for a remix.

This is the album I've been hoping they would revisit. They don't need to alter anything about the sound of the record but‘Let's Do It Right’ a.k.a ‘Come on Sugar’ would be fantastic to hear in Black and Blue quality, and there must be plenty more lurking on tape. I wasn't aware of ‘Built that Way’ until it turned out upon the Fully Finished Outtakes leak, so who knows what else there is? I read somewhere that around this time they recorded a version of ‘Shame Shame Shame’ which was a hit for Shirley and Co. If it exists I'd love to hear it. If Jeff Beck and Rory Gallagher and other guitarists were lurking around it would be great to hear some studio jams. The original ‘Black and Blue Jam’ would be fun - before it got turned into ‘Slave’ later on. Then there is ‘Sexy Nite’, ‘I Love ladies’ and the ‘Reggae and Roll’ instrumental. They'll probably turn up with new lyrics and embellishments but I don't mind that. Really hope this is true.
