On their best nights of the 78 tour it might have been the best tour. The New Orleans show I saw cannot be topped. It was smoking and the crowd was intense.
At some outdoor gigs, there was a yellow canvas to the left and right of the "tongue" stage. At Anaheim and Oakland, (and I think Philadelphia), there was black canvas. I've yet to see a good photo of the 1978 indoor stage from a distance. If anyone has one, post it (I mean from a good distance, Not the photos we've all seen).
The circomstances were bad, they had manny problems(To name two, keith, bianca ) The teeth of keith litterly felt out of his mouth, also there was a lot of booze and substances involved,,mind you they were atacked by anybody including, the punk scene ,wmans lib,ex-wives and atacked in the back by jan wenner fropm ''rolling stone mag.Beside this and more trouble the played wild, strong, tight, and made risk before huge stadiums, not weak Ithink, verry strong indeed!!Was it because of ''punk''there wasnt to be a europa-leg?
