Kasey's Tavern again today for pre-game. I guess at least some of the Shidoobees are going there.

The Black Barrel Lounge last night was fun. Great to catch up with GJB and chriseganstar!

I was just at Soldier field. About ten people in line for early pit on each side. Merch trailer not open yet.

I prefer pit B.

There is a camera on Ronnies side, and I find it annoying.

On the other hand, pit B tends to be more crowded.


I will have to try one of the seats behind the pit to see the graphics better. You miss a lot being down in front, but the pit has a vibe the seats just don't have.

Before Charlie passed Pit B was always worse since Charlie had a cymbal in front of his face that obstructed the view from many positions. Steve doesn't have a cymbal on Keiths side so it might actually the better place now since Pit A has the camera crane.

What time do the merch trucks open? They’re not opening parking until 4PM (even though my reservation says 1PM) and I have a feeling there won’t be any posters by the time I get to the venue.

Some time between 3 and 4. I think you'll be ok. There are several Merch trucks and most folks tailgate before hitting the merch trucks. I arrived and parked around 4:45 and literally had zero wait at the merch truck. Walk3d right up and was helped instantly.

Yeah, I just walked up to two merch trailers and there was no wait for me either. Apparently they do open merch trucks before they open their parking, so the venue posters were already sold out. Everything else is still there though.

I'd be willing to bet then the posters were sold out from Thursday night. I hope for fans they will restock these online in a few days.

I just walked right up to one of the merch trucks.

Very short line I was done in a few minutes.

I was not interested in the poster but there was not one available at truck I went to.

Maybe. The guy at my truck said they only had a few available today and they sold out first, so I’m crossing my fingers that the bulk of them are available in the venue instead.

Any sound check info would be appreciated. Hoping for some nice changes. Enjoy everyone!

Update: My ticket’s in Section 106, so I waited at the gates right next to the floor access people and was able to be one of the first people at the merch table. The worker told be they sold all of their Chicago tees on night one, around 80% of their gig posters, so they only had a few left (I luckily got one ), and I bought one of the last two XL hoodies.

So yeah, it seems like they don’t split the inventory evenly between any two-night shows. They probably don’t want to end up with more tour inventory than needed/expected to sell at a discount on their site when those shows are done.
