Shit, it feels stupid to comment a show based on youtube clips, but here we go..

Mick's voice problems seem to have disappeared and Keith is like good old wine, just getting better show by show... And since Woodie is in a constant good form, the band cannot do much wrong. I guess they could not play much better than they do right now: all the three principals 'hot'. Blessed are those catching them live now.

It is always interesting to see how new or not so much played tunes go, but what has really made me a big impression how they treat their 'war horses' at the moment (during this tour). I don'¨t know if it really due to the band, but more like me, but who cares. This time "You Can't Always Get What You Want" really made a huge impact on me. Mick's just awesome - the way he sings and moves - it is bloody perfect. All of that is based on huge routine for sure, but it all comes out so naturally. He breathes the song with his voice and his whole body. Each sound, each little move... He sounds and looks so good - one cannot separate those two from each other. It's an unique piece of art, for god's sake.

The shame is that we won't get a live album from these shows whilst ever there are plans or half plans to take the tour to other continents.

Not entirely - he was clearly discomforted a few times last night, needing to rush to get water and (I think) even spitting on the stage at one point. I felt his voice went hoarse a couple of times, mainly in the early part of the show, but nothing to take away from the overall performance.

I think he might be getting a phobia about his voice, could be nerves, he does this thing with tissues to his nose area but he disperses with the tissues so quickly one after another he's not actually doing anything with them.

I guess he badly wants to finish the tour to make a good profit so its stressful, he doesn't want to let anyone down i guess. I could be absolutely wrong though but as you said, spitting, water, tissues, it's every show, but he's singing great so it makes no sense.

He is always spitting and/or blowing his nose on stage. This is not new or a sometimes thing

Shit, it feels stupid to comment a show based on youtube clips, but here we go..

with all due respect it is in no way stupid it's how 90% of fans have enjoyed most shows over the last decade and formed there opinions about them

it's not like where listening to scratchy distant and muffled audience recordings from 1972

the audio on these videos is significantly better then what's present on almost all the
audience recordings of the band created in the last 60 years (though not the better ones made in the last 25 or so years)

yes it is admittedly imperfect and inferior to actually hearing them live in person and a wise man would defer to the opinion of one who was there

and someone who wasn't there declaring definitively that a show or song was good or bad and then refusing to hear or consider the opinion of someone who was there is foolish

but it's also unfair to tell them they can't have or express strong opinions just because they got it from watching a video

i've seen this narrative and attitude used by some here to bully others into silence on these threads for the last few tours and i promise you it has convinced many to stop commenting on these threads and some sadly to leave iorr altogether

just think of all the interestesing opinions and dissents and conversations we've missed out on that could have brought even more enjoyment out of these threads and the tour for so many

and i'm sorry if i seem like i'm being long winded blowing this way out of proportion but this has really really bugged me for a long time

i agree with you the band is playing great and mick is fantastic

watching the videos from this tour has brought a temendous amount of joy into my life

a life in which few things do

and it's infuriating to see others that can only experience these shows thru a screen or speakers be made to feel as if there opinions and at times they themselves are unwelcomed

there not to me and many others here

and if someone out there has been made to feel this way and reads this and wants to post an opinion and can do it respectfully and without resorting to name calling and attacking other posters and can handle others respectfully disagreeing with them

then do it

there is so little time left for the band and these in reality givin there ages could be the last shows they ever do everyone who wants to should be able to participate in the conversation

we'll he's a professional and i assume is appropriately paranoid about losing his voice given how often its been an issue in the past

whatever he's doing seems to be working they haven't had to cancel a show yet this tour and he still has a strong voice most of the time

i think profit at this point given his extreme wealth isn't as big an issue to him anymore

i think these shows are done now (as he said recently) because he enjoys it

also its allergy season here in the us and if he's anything like me his nose is just constantly drippingwinking smiley

Great setlist!
Rocks Off and Before They Make Me Run tour debuts!
Dead Flowers with Lainey Wilson sounds fantastic!
Mick with the cowboy hat and Keef adding background vocals!
Much better then the Tyler Childers version from Orlando.
The woman are smarter!

Dead Flowers, one of my favorites. Great version with Lainy Wilson/ The only drawback was Ronnies guitar solo. Mick Taylor could nail this standing on his head/

Cool that Lainy got one verse on her own.

No way. I've NEVER seen Mick Taylor stand on his head.
Lainey Wilson was a great opening act and the perfect spotlight guest for MICK.
I loved the background vocals from Keith on this one too, he seemed inspired!

After watching the two shows in Chicago, I am honestly impressed with how good they are still playing and performing at their age. Especially Keith. It touches me to see how he smiles from ear to ear throughout the concerts, to hear him play with so much confidence and how loud his guitar is in the mix. He sings great as well on his three songs. Tell Me Straight and Little T&A are highlights. He plays and sings better now then he did on the late legs of A Bigger Bang tour, which is more than fifteen years ago. If anyone had told med after Shine a Light that Keith would still perform with The Stones in 2024 – and play much better, I would not have believed you. Hats off to the man.

A great spotlight guest and she knew the words! When opening acts get to sing with the Stones it sometimes feels as though they have been asked late in the day and not had time to feel comfortable with the song. Not this time.
