Believe Salar, he knows every goal of every @#$%& world cup
Paris 2003, hotel room, watching Europsport while waiting for Thomas:
"It´s Brazil - Italy, World cup 82 - next goal: Rossi, down left
after assist of Tardelli!") And it was true!!!!!

Yeah, my mate, Paris is ON (FOS), scored 4 for Kölle (FOS) and 2 for
Hannover (FOS). So it´s already 3 shows for me. Barca is next (hopefully),
will use my code for it. Berlin (if it comes) is on my birthday, hehe.

8 to 10 shows? That´s long ago, it seems...shit!

Schreib mal.

As usual, they'll show signs they could be until :

a) your team falls out with each other or
b) your team falls out with the coach

In every WC tournament, the Dutch team's hardest opponent seems to be themselves

Or the coach falls out with the press and then with himself.

The U.S. will have a tough time with Italy and Czech Republic, but hopefully will make it out of that group so we can have something similar to 2002's 8th place finish instead of 1998's 32nd place.

In 1994, I went to all the games at the Rose Bowl, except the US-Costa Rica match. It was such a great time, so I hope everyone who goes to Germany has a lot of fun.

Halup, did you go to the final match, when Brazil beat Italy to win our fourth world cup?

well...not realy:..the dutch team had got some spectacular k.o. in worldcup history, such as:
90...dutch knock out in last 16 after big match vs. german titans 1:2
94...knock out after great game vs. worldchampion Brazil in last 8.
98...penalty knock out again after great match vs. Brazil in semifinal.

So this sounds much better than the german loses like:
94....a shameful 1:2 desaster vs. Bulgaria in quarterfinal
98....another tragedy , by losing 0:3 vs. Croatia again in quarterfinal,
but at least we could come back as runner up in 2002 .

What will be next ?
The drawtable leaves the opputrtunity of a quarterfinal knock out
germany vs. Netherlands....which we all look forward to.

But...first it comes different...than man thinks.

Yes I did go to the final match. It was interesting how I got into that one. I went by myself to the Rose Bowl about 4-5 hours before the start to try to find a "cheap" ticket. Tickets were selling for below face value, but were still high, due to the original cost of the tickets.

I was approcahed by a guy who offered to take me into the stadium for $150. He was a guy working with Coca Cola or Pepsi, whichever one was a sponsor and he had 2 laminates, one around his neck and an extra one. He told me I could put it on, walk in with him, go up to a seat and just pay him once I was securely inside the stadium. He was going to do this at least 5 times to make extra money for himself, because he was successful in doing the same when the Super Bowl was held there the previous year. I sat in a part of the stadium where the seats are not individual seats, but benches with seat numbers marked, making it possible to squeeze an extra person into a row. The only thing I didn't get was a ticket stub.

Yeah, Yordan Letchkov knocked them out, he was formerly playing for
HSV Hamburg, my team...

I heard the news on the plane while landing in LA in 1994...
all passengers were applauding. A month later I saw my first Stones
US-show...RFK, August 1st;-)
