After watching footage from the last couple of shows I'm witnessing Keith and Ronnie's interplay at a higher level than for years, they are both playing well at the same time, something we don't hear so often.
Ronnie seems to have perfected a way of playing that covers Keith to some extent without taking anything away from Keith. It's incredible how intuitive Ronnie is especially on songs like Gimme Shelter.
The ancient art of weaving is back.

I liked how Ronnie had a little singing part during Angry on Thursdays show

You only have to watch a few videos from last night's show at Metlife Stadium to see they still have talent, Keith and Ronnie are playing as well if not better than in recent years, Mick is slowing down as expected but still has it, yeah they still have great talent, especially with an energised Keith now, the first two shows were a wobble and i thought he was passed it but once again Keith is back and that is essential in my opinion for the Stones to justify touring.

They’re both playing well for their respective ages. I mean, who are we to compare them against? There aren’t many, are there? Eric Clapton is -in my opinion - a better guitarist, technically, but going by recent videos, is playing in his sleep. It’s ever-so boring.

Keith Richards and Ron Wood are plying together for half a century, they have a unique sense for blues, rock'n'roll and rough elegance. By now the keyboard section is taking a lot of weight from their shoulders, so they can let the essence of their playing shine. At 80 and 77 this is not a shame - it is a smart solution.

Which songs did you have mind, that the keyboards are taking weight off their shoulders? I can only think of Miss You. Both Keith and Ronnie are playing a lot, imo.

I thought his playing on the first US post-Charlie tour was equally amazing and consistent. There's some internal energy coil that gets activated in the righgt conditions...

Keyboard has been doing the main driving guitar riff in Whole Wide World. Watch the fingers, then listen to the pregnant pause at 1:29. Chuck (or Matt) didn't do the riff, but a guitar can clearly be heard playing the wrong chord(s). Other than that, I have no problem with keys lifting some of the weight. Stones sounding great on HD tour.
