The pit was way too crowded. More so than any of the other shows this tour.

It was a great show last night.
Keith was super present.
His guitar was really clear in the mix.
I have to say the electric guitar version of Wild Horses and having Keith sing with Mick made it a highlight versus a bad vote song.
Really great!
And Keith's set—he sang clear, the guitar on T&A had great tone, and the solo was great.
Keith was super into Jumping Jack Flash - he was the most on I have seen him since 1981, I think.
Love the non choir YCAGWYW
Start Me Up also was the best guitar I have heard for a long time - no Scarf Me Up
The general mix seemed more guitar heavy (nice!) and less keyboards, strong sax presence, Bass sound was great, Steve really hits the drums hard.
Total respect to the boys, they show up, keep the energy going, and deliver.
How many bands are performing two of their singles from 1965 with such energy today?
Impressive!

So, now we know that the song vote is honest, unfortunately
As usual, despite the setlist, the band keep on putting on a solid show, apparently
Yup
Honest vote... no doubt.
Wild Horses is very popular amongst casual fans, middle-lower of the top ten in the few song polls I glanced at.
Could be argued that the vote was "rigged" just by having it in the mix I suppose, but the vote was accurate. Hoping that's the last time we see it in the mix for a while, would love to hear more from the new album.
"We put up a vote with four songs from our new album, and this is what you voted for".. would work nicely for promoting it and letting people know they're about to hear something new.
A snapshot of the Instagram voting from the song vote thread..
Wild Horses - 54%
Depending on you - 13%
Fool to Cry - 18%
Worried About You - 14%

Mick to the NJ audience last night:
“The last time we were here I mentioned I’d been to this diner called the Tick Tock Diner in Clifton. And so, on the way to the show I stopped in there and I found out they got a new sandwich and it’s called 'The Mick Jagger,' he quipped. “I’ve never had a f-cking sandwich named after me before... So I am very, very proud. And me, Keith and Ronnie are going to eat it after the show.”

I agree! It was the most packed pit that I have been in by far! Couple scuffles broke out with multiple people. Great energetic show! NYC always has energy!

Great energy is right, best so far this year I think.
I saw a few of those scuffles.
Never could understand why there is fighting at a concert, but I guess to each his ownQuote

I think maybe it's his hands. Those songs have a lot of those two-note open G bar chords, that require pressure from the hand and precisely dropping the fingers on the two notes on different frets.
I suspect it's finally getting to be difficult for him to grip those firm bar chords with two additional fingers, that put stress on the thumb muscles and the middle of the hand.
Compared to those two songs, Little T&A and You Got The Silver don't require the same amount of finesse to the fingers, to hit the chords. It's more like hold it down firmly with two fingers and strum. I'm really getting into the fine details of playing the guitar here, but Keith's hands are finally starting to give out on him.
Also, by the way, the flubbed first chords on "Start Me Up" that Keith has been known to flub for a while -- Scarfgate and this tour opener etc. -- that is one of those same type of two-note bar chords that require a harder grip from the hands.
TO me, it's a continuation of the years of threads here about Keith's hands.

I bet there are still people who actually believe Mick ever went to that diner.

I am 35 years old, today was my 21th show. First time 2003, Rotterdam. But this one was by far the best show i’ve attented. Jagger is unbelievable.

Sounded like a disappointed reaction from several in the crowd when Keith introduced You Got the Silver...
Hope springs eternal for Tell Me Straight...
Disappointed about Silver, but voting for Wild horses.... weird crowd.
