BPM Measuring app- Anyone?

I'm trying to find an app that measures tempo and my initial efforts have been disappointing. They can't pickup live tunes. Specifically, I'm wondering about GOMCloud from last night. I thought they really nailed it but I've seen others say it was too slow. I thought with Steve Jordan, he would just lock in the original bpm and go with it, but I'm not musical enough to really hear it. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Just Google 'tap bpm' and it will bring up a bunch where you tap your keyboard/mouse/phone along to the song for a few bars and it will give you the bpm

Hi Shawn. There is an app called liveBPM on the Apple App Store. Don’t know if it’s on android. Will listen and display tempo as it happens. Works really well. Costs a couple bucks but well worth it. Will tell you if your drummer is quite as solid as he thinks he is.

Maybe the original recording was too fast.

There are exceptions. Even Keith knows about BPM.

Actually, Rip This Joint was the fastest track the Stones ever cut - until Flip the Switch, which is a couple of beats faster.

Thanks peoplewitheyes and VertigoJoe! Yes, GasLightStreet, that quote has always stuck in my mind. Cheers to your unmeasured arse, Spud! Free your arse and your soul shall follow (I think that was George Clinton)

Yes, possibly. I do think the performance in Houston was fantastic. Really nailed it for me.

I like the If You Can’t Rock Me/Get Off My Cloud from the 1975 tour with blistering lead guitar from Wood better than these slow down mannered performances
