Moral Dilemma

What would you do.

I'm on my company's event committee, and we had to see if we could come up with any giveaways for the company Xmas party. I'm not big on asking for favors, so I kept quiet, however, the girl sitting next to me knows I have an EMI connection so she volunteered me to ask for concert tickets.

So I did, and now I found out my connection is giving me a pair of tix to see the Stones in January. I already have one ticket for the same show, but it's a crappy one, and I'm sure that his tickets will be awesome! Also, I don't think he will be able to get the tickets to me in time for the Christmas party. I have a devil on my shoulder telling me to keep them, but it's Xmas, and I'll feel guilty (but it's funny how you get over things).

What would you guys do?

You're still giving away tickets to the Stones for free . . . right?

Ethical dilemma solved.

If that doesn't work, say three Brown Sugars and go with god my child (although he's probably already got good seats).

No, because I can't give only 1 ticket away, and I can't give two tickets away in two separate sections.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Boston.

And yes Erik, that is true, I am a far bigger fan than the common man, but not a bigger fan than some of you crazy fools! Man, I'm so jealous of some of the crap you guys know. I'm amazed.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Do what YOU know to be right. Or else, cut the tickets in half and keep half for yourself and half for the others.

As the only dissenting voice, I would say to ignore what the others suggest. Give the good tickets away. The very fact that you have a dilemma means that you know the right choice. You will feel better about youtself. Furthermore, what goes around comes around. Would you want someone to cheat you? Just my two cents.

No . . . it means you have a choice.

If it's a prize at a party, you could make it two prizes: two lucky people win a ticket each to see the Rolling Stones. That way you're rewarding two employees instead of one employee and a spouse or friend.
Nothing wrong with spreading the wealth and rewarding employees.

sounds righteous to me - and this way your radiance at being in a good seat is part of the prize someone gets. that's a beautiful prize!
and just curious: what's the nature of the giveaway situation - is it just random, or ...?

Give the tickets, as planned, to the prize fund........and then just make sure your name comes out of the hat for that prize. Dilemma resolved!

Burn the tickets and let "Live Licks" play at the party instead. So nobody has an advantage
he shouldn't have.
