Roaring Through The Twenties

A kind of continuance of TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE and SUCKING IN THE SEVENTIES... minus any deluxe bonus tracks, of course, all new material from the Twenty Hundreds, easily updated if they release another album in 2024 or 25, since there won't be anything post 2020s:

Rough Justice
Angry
Doom And Gloom
Don't Stop
Bite My Head Off
Dangerous Beauty
Whole Wide World
Tell Me Straight
Just Your Fool
Depending On You
Let Me Down Slow
Driving Me Too Hard
Living In A Ghost Town
Rain Fall Down
Mess It Up
Blue And Lonesome
Get Close
It Won't Take Long
Little Rain
This Place Is Empty
Laugh, I Nearly Died
I Can't Quit You Baby
Sweet Sounds Of Heaven

Certainly the Stones have had plenty of decent tunes this century that the masses have often overlooked.

Great idea for a compilation album! For myself I'd also add "One More Shot" and "Hate To See You Go".

LIND remains my favourite of the bunch!

Ride like the wind at double speed.....

Only sad thing is that there isn’t any decent Keith songs that earn a place on a collection like that. All his stuff since Bridges are crap.

Unfortunately I have to agree.

There's not a lot of Keef stuff to choose from, but I would stick This Place Is Empty on.

Trudging Thru The Twenties

Given the 2019 release of the ridiculously titled HONK, with such incredible artwork...

In parlance to their 1970s to mid 1980s stretch they released:

Made In The Shade
Time Waits For No One
Sucking In The Seventies
Rewind

That's 1974-1984.

Fine, record contract specific releases.

At the show in 2019 I saw a brief showing of HONK prior to the Stones coming out onstage: Mick didn't say one word about it.

Well, you're wrong.

All 3 on BRIDGES are excellent. You're right.

Losing My Touch, This Place Is Empty. Tell Me Straight...

Musically, creatively, as an artist, Tell Me Straight is excellent.

I can see wiggle room in saying whatever about otherwise.

But, you know, opinions.

In the spirit of those compilations, here's my attempt at a basic representation of their 21st Century output with a couple of curveballs thrown in:

01. Don't Stop
02. Streets of Love
03. Doom and Gloom
04. Ride `Em On Down
05. Sweet Sounds of Heaven

06. Living in a Ghost Town
07. Angry
08. Champagne and Reefer (live with Buddy Guy)
09. Rough Justice
10. Whole Wide World (Live At Racket, NYC)

More like HONK TWICE since HONK already picks up material from this century through "Ghost Town" in the streaming version.

Well... they do it themselves anyway - look at SUCKING and TIME - they both have Time Waits For No One, Fool To Cry and Crazy Mama on them.

HONK (sans streaming version) is just an updated (and artfully duped) JUMP BACK which is just an updated REWIND.

Wouldn't it be more better to call it HONK HONK instead of... ha ha ha ha ha, that actually made me LOL.

I think SUCKING TIME is a great title actually, complete with the lapping tongue logo.
