Warsaw, Gothenburg, Bergen & Brno for visitors

Anyone know how easy it is go get from the airports in these cities, into town, and from town to the venues? It seems Bergen and Gothenburg are accessible, and I would assume Warsaw is too, but am not sure.
Thanks!

Warsaw airport and bus connections here : [www.lotnisko-chopina.pl]

It's cheap and easy to get to the city centre this way....

Göteborg: 20 minutes on the bus from the airport to the centre of town. Same goes for the other direction smiling smiley

Ullevi is pretty close to the center of town, maybe +5 minutes of walking. The best thing about Göteborg (besides the fact that I live there) is that everything in the city centre is within walking distance. If you like some further info about my city, please ask.

Here's a map-link to where the concert is in Warsaw : [mapa.szukacz.pl]

And here's a link to Warsaw-trams. Seems like some of them go near the airport :

More maps - for night buses as well- on ztm.waw.pl

Well, Ville: "Walking distance"... ?!smiling smiley
Maybe for me as a Norrland man, but what about the people that
jumps on a bus or in a cab every time they had to transport themselves
more than a 100 years or ditto meters...

If you just look up for the tram, you´re alright!

That's right, Micki!
And that's the reason why Göteborg is a "better" place than Stockholm for big shows.
It feels like "the whole city" is dominated by the Stones and everyone is on his/her way to the show.
In Stockholm you don't get that feeling at all. (Sorry 08-ers)

OK, Baboon, I´ll alert the cabcompanies that there will be good money to be made from people who wants to spend up to an hour, behind 50.000 people walking a kilometer to Ullevi from the Aveny, in a cab...

It's easy to find your ways in Bergen. Flesland Airport is about 25 minuts away from central Bergen by car, and I belive the venue "Koengen" is nearby the old harbour, a popular tourist attraction - close to downtown Bergen.

Sure there are money to pluck from people that pay more than 1000
balobajas for a bleedin ticket.
Me? I wouldnt even take tram from Ullevi to bloomin Hisingen myself.
Once I lived in Bergsjön, I used to walk very often...
But on the other hand I´m from Norrland.

Sorry for messin it up: Listen to Ville, check out his first posting
here... Of course we all walk in Göttteborrrrrg! The little big town,.
once built by the Dutch, but not as easy to get lost in as in Amsterdam.

I´m ínto seeing just one show on aBB out of economical reasons.
Five kids and right now in-between jobs.
I´ll go to either Warsaw, Brno, or Belgrad.
Quite a reasonable chance it´ll be Brno.

No, I dont think there are many Czech users here; maybe guests?
Dont be shy in that case, jump on the train!!

Sater would prefer they play in his hometown.
and the "venue" in Warsaw is not too luxurious.

my word of advice for people going to Warsaw anyway: if you want a taxi, get a phone card and call one. (i'll post numbers if anyone wants them.)
DON'T take taxis that are waiting at the airport, train station or at a taxi stand on the street; they will rip you off very seriously.

>> do you live in poland? <<

yeah i do, but in wroclaw (which would be a MUCH better place for a concert than either warsaw or Sater's town!)
but anyway! my favorite taxi company's phone number is 9661 (and they'll understand simple English or German).
i'll dig up some others too and add them here later.
