Congrats to Finland who won on overtime, 4-3, against Slovakia. Canada going out was a real surprise. After the second period everything was leaning to Canada.
Then a random shot from Czechia when 11 seconds left of full time: 3-2! Not a good day for the Canadian goalie although he can't be blamed for the last goal ( deflection on own player).

The 2nd goal kinda dipped off a stick on the way, too.

Anyways, as usual, the team with the better goalie wins, and the CZE goalie was money. What is he, 6'6"? Huge guy. Very calm.

Didn't watch the game but sucks for Canada. Oh well, good luck to Czechia, who I believe lost to Canada in the finals last year.

It was a strange game, DGA. Canada dominated the last two periods. They were clearly the better team. But sometimes you need luck to win also it seems...

Swedes were a bundle of nerves throughout the whole game today. Except number 20 Öhgren. He was the only one actually trying to play hockey in the team. The rest of them were paralyzed.
Against Switzerland! Swedes managed to win on a doubtful penalty in overtime. The Swedish coach showed what weak leadership looks like in real time.

People want to see car wrecks, so maybe CZE pulling another upset would be nice to see. Then again, a SWE-FIN gold medal game on Swedish soil is always epic.

But that USA team looks so stacked...

I think Sweden - Czechia is a 50/50 game. Normally Sweden would have an advantage on home ice but they didn't impress against Switzerland.
I think USA has the upper hand against Finland even though it's on big ice. Finland hasn't impressed so far (except the Slovakia game). But we will see...

Congrats to US. One advantage Sweden would have is the North American players aren't used to playing on the larger ice surface like the Europeans are. Should be a good final game.
