There are rumours about venues booked for shows fall time in Europe 2024, also rumours about a tour Down Under i.e. Australia 2024.

This thread will hold any rumours about shows in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and South America for the next 12-18 months.

If you follow the Hackney Diamonds updates on IORR, then you will see they are talking about an 18 months marketing time frame for their new album Hackney Diamonds, i.e. from October 2023 until spring time or so 2025. After that who knows if they manage to release another album, then another tour, as they say they do already have extra songs left over from the HD release, and they have "cracked the coded" on how to be efficient in studio.

It makes sense to tour more than just 19/20 shows during the spring/summer of 2024 in USA and Canada. They may take a break, then do another set of shows after having rested a bit, withough having to do a full 3-5 weeks of rehearsals every time they do new shows in a new area. Still, keep in mind their age, they can not perform 100 or so shows per world tour, like they did 20-30 years ago.

That's insane, but the Stones' longevity is that in itself.

I don't think there is any doubt that the band intend to play shows in Europe. The question is when.

Hell, in a Finnish newspaper interview he said he "hoped" to come back to Helsinki as well!

I suspect they realise that they're now at the point where they can't stop until they stop...if that makes any sense.

Time has been on their side for all these years, but Old Father Time is probably getting a bit impatient and there's no longer time for any long lay offs or protracted gaps in activity.

This is certainly NOT an announcement, it's a wish for the next years to come.

First of all Mick do change the interview into being the interviewer, asking how old he is, about being optimistic, then the interviewer says he is 51, and Mick talks about when he was in the 50's...

Then Mick says sure they would like to tour Europe and Germany... As he have said in many of interviews over the years.

Well, Mick does not announce a European tour, he just says he hopes there will be one.

Apart from that, of course it would make sense to follow up an American tour with a European tour, if nothing gets in the way.

And he certainly wouldn’t do that in a tv interview. Maybe it got lost in translation?

well Sep 6 he said they were 3/4s complete on the next album, so this isn't really shocking news either.

What we know so far:

- Mick finished the HD mixes at the beginning of March but it is known that they worked on at least 23 songs so there are at least another 11 that are in advanced process.

- Mick put a video on Instagram in May in the studio playing guitar on a song that did not come out in HD, well developed, probably one of the 11 that were left out, meaning that from March until now they continued entering and leaving the studio in various parts of the world working on that material and in new songs too.

I wouldn't be surprised at all by a release of another album by mid-2025, the band still moves a lot of physical product, not many artists have that luxury nowadays.

Actually a very nice interview. Mick is clever, polite, funny, doesn't sound like run-of-the-mill answers at all, although he must be giving a ton of such interviews.

I enjoyed this interview, especially when he was asked about the statues of him and Keith in Dartford and Mick says he liked the statues because they showed them “in action” and not sitting on a horse! That’s very amusing!
