I'm sure Ron is haunted by Mick taylor's shadow hanging over the stage. Sure he hears him say "Ron, go and clean up my guitars in the backroom and bring me back a fresh beer". That's why Ron sometimes feels sad on stage...don't agree ?
Have that bootleg, still listen to it with great emotion.I attended that concert. What a great band this is. Awesome YCAGWYW, MR and Happy. Better than Yer Yer's out to my own perspetive.

Well? I would give 450$ if I could go back in time and be there
This is the boot that I try to start baby stones fans with. Then they get hooked and turn into a full fledged, ocd stones junkie like myself. I love it when this happens.
I applied that recipee. Converted 2 " baby stones fan". Audience was fully aware of Taylor, his bottleneck majestY. The Stones were often depicted, wrongly, as poor musicians those days. Taylor helped them a lot apart from his brilliant solos and magic touch.
phd, you attended the concert in Brussels, on October 17, 1973? God, tell us everything you remember, everything!! That's perhaps the best concert in rock history. Was the audience (and the band) aware of how good this was?
Nasty Remixes or Europe '73 are the best releases of this material. The Vienna tracks are on Goodnight Vienna. This "Definitive Edition" is good also (great bonus tracks) but not definitive.
Hope the Stones will follow Bob Dylan's great "bootleg series" releases and bring out this, or rather another, great show from 1973. They never reached that level again. Sorry but we have to face reality. Time waits for no one.... But we all know the Stones, look a the rariries 1970-2003 release. Idea behind it was good, except the release itself is poor, like the comment in the booklet. I think they will do overdubs on Mick Taylor's brilliant guitar solo's whenever they decided to release the 1973 tour.
