Yeah, yestadayay at Berns (Stockholm Sverige), Martha W. did a stunning version of Street fighting man and it was better than anything Stones has done in years. Her own version. She was on fire and I'm glad my girlie took me there cause it was one of the best concerts I've been to. I joked about going onstage and tuning everything in open G but Martha is used to that tuning as well. IF STONES CAN'T ROCK YOU SHE WILL, she is one of the top five live acts right now.
I went to see her with my girlfriend about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I wasn't expecting too much - not really a big fan - but it was OK. When she did SFM, it got the biggest cheer of the night.

Don't know about that. I have a few boots from 73 and quite a lot from 72. The SFM from 73 in particular aren't very good. It's always too drugged up and Taylor mangles it (Like he did with Dead Flowers on some occasions) by just playing some solo through the entire song (Which isn't lead guitar, but solo). I have a version from Germany in 73 (From the DVD Stones In 73 (Good one)), where Jagger is way too drugged up, Keef is too sloppy and Taylor, who could hold it together at times, soloes all over the place. Not good at all IMO. But I never heard the London 73 version you speak of.
