She's the Boss is not a great album, although it's a lot of fun. Jagger sounds all coked up and outrageous. The lyrics are very funny, I even listen to it once in a while. But far from a great album

It's a product of its time, and as such very dated.

I'm surprised it makes the list of 'great' albums (as you opined) AND 'never heard of'...I guess if your 25 years old you probably wouldn't have heard of it.

Other than Let's Work, I'd say Primitive Cool is probably a far better album that most certainly would be less known.

Fantastic! There’s a lot going on in that clip. My god, what was Jagger thinking?

Without a shadow of a doubt by far the greatest album in that list is this masterpiece by Doll By Doll. It has everything - brilliant lyrics and tunes and a wide variety of styles from pop/rock, folk, psychedelic rock, new wave funk and blue-eyed soul. It was too much for the new wave scene at the time but has gone on to become much revered.

Not really a hidden gems list.
For the hiphop community those albums by Mobb Deep and Eric B. & Rakim are stone cold classics.

Even some million sellers in there, like Evermore. Lots of people heard that.

This if I'm correct (going from memory isn't always reliable), is a snippet from the Jagger "film" Running Out Of Luck.

If you haven't seen it it's hysterical.

Always enjoy the She’s The Boss album, goofy, not serious, but fun as are the videos made for it, Lucky In Love etc

The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions album is one of the GREAT albums. If you've not heard it, seek out the 2002 (?) expanded version which has a whole extra CDs worth of material.

Wolf explaining to Eric Clapton how to play "The Red Rooster" is priceless.

Appearing on the album, with Wolf, includes Clapton, Stevie Winwood, Wyman, Watts, Hubert Sumlin, Ian Stewart, Ringo, Lafayette Leake, Klaus Voorman, and it was recorded at Olympic Studios in London.
