Channeling a bit of "Tumbling Dice" - especially on the intro.

A gem. The unmistakable Tumbling Dice feel at the beginning into an almost Xpensive Winos groove on the verses. The pop hook feel of the chorus a great contrast and works so well. Appreciate the track more with each listen. Wonderful stuff.

To me, it sounds like Biggest Mistake done the right way (good chorus, engaging guitars...)

One of the best songs they’ve ever written and recorded. Immediately took me back to the early Seventies. I even got a tear…!

Imo it's a Keef song. I hear How i Wish/Eileen/Locked Away vibes...and i really like it!!

Surely a Keith song. It has the same melody as (Oughta be) locked away..

It's a nice tune, but if I have to name one song as my least favorite on the album, it's probably this one...

I am afraid this also gets my vote as weakest song of the album.

Not bad, its no sweet neo con, its just middling.

Fine song but a "filler" IMO but that's only relative to the whole album. When this is a "filler" it means it is a very strong album.

Cheers,

this song reminds me a lot of their cover „bob wills is still the king“ in austin tx 2006. anyone else hears it?

Typical stones by the numbers. Not bad but a filler, I won’t skip it but I also will not listen to it on purpose probably.

Another seventies ring-in. In the NICEST possible way.

When reviewers were saying “their best since Some Girls”, this is one of the songs they were probably using as their sign post.

It’s wonderful. A Keith song?

I have the same sentiments on this one. For me, it's one of the weaker songs on HD.

Since I was unable to find a physical CD for sale anywhere, I don't have liner notes. Do they say who plays bass on them?

This is Keith from the Talk is Cheap days. Would love to hear Keith sing it. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

I knew the word "filler" would come sooner or later! I feel sorry for you but objectively you can't hear any filler on this album!
This song seems coming from Talk is Cheap sessions...and it's so gooood!

It’s also kind of a rocked up version of Always Suffering. Keith plays almost the exact same solo on both.

It might seem slight at first, but it's an ear worm. I have been unable to stop humming it all bloody day....

Mick says some interesting things about that song in the book, that it was a Keith track that everyone liked and that the version they had with Charlie (see B&L pics) wasn't great so they redid it and finished it.

Again, odd that Keith didn't take credit for it in the Guitar Magazine interview where he was asked what he'd brought to the sessions.

The absolute sleeper song on the album for me. Wasnt much fuss about it in the build up to the album's release, but it's the best track on the record next to the one with Gaga

Utterly beautiful in every way. Mick sings the shit out of it, Ronnie pedal steel is sublime and that call and response 'driving..' coda is hypnotic.

It was initially quite an old song of Keith's, according to the sleeve notes. They did a take with Charlie on it but redone it in LA.

Absolutely love it

My favorite track on the album, by some distance. Keith’s background vocals. Ronnie’s B-bender guitar licks. And Mick’s melody. Infectious. Some of the lyrics on the album make me cringe. These are simple and predictable, but the way they’re phrased and delivered — they just sit in the pocket so beautifully.

thumbs up
From the first listen i knew immediately that it was a Keef song! I hear some Locked Away/How i Wish vibes!
It is one of my favorites on this album, although i would have liked Keith to sing it, just like "One More Shot".
"It's got a lovely riff and it's got a lovely hanging melody" KR

I felt the same on 1st listen... but after a couple more, I've come around, to me it's great! It's the one that keeps playing in my head!

When they say :"Driving me to Hard", sounds a little bit like : "Coming Down Again"
