We don’t even know that it was actually him on the plane. I remember years ago talking to a guy at work who was telling me about an interview he’d seen on the tv the night before with Bill Wyman - the interview was actually with Keith. So maybe this cousin of a friend was sitting on the plane next to Ronnie and, not being real Stones fan, just said it was Bill Wyman because that was the only name they could remember….

no, the reviews are all already written and a lot of them are already published. A 'secret' club gig would bring them more and new/additional attention in the press/news etc.

For the club gig, yes, I was referring to Bill's potential presence...on the other hand if they rehearsed in London in mid-September that's when the decision could have been made.

I was at that show. In the lobby before the show, I overheard one of the blonde girls asking "What are we here for".

There is a Barnaby 09 pop-up store in Union Square in Manhattan. Might be worth spending some time there to see who shows up. I can't say any more than that.

but that won't get me into a Stones club show (especially not when this show is some 6000 kilometers away from my home – even if they were to sell tickets online on the day of the show I couldn't make it)

I wasn't talking about Bill German. Bill's still around, but how much he's in the Stones universe is another matter.

Agree, great book. He was doing book talks / book signings on it last year when the new edition came out.
