If you try to get a presale ticket at ANY PRICE it now comes back saying none available.

Sjs12, do you mean the "new member" presale or the "legacy" presale? just curious -
i got "none available" a few times in the "new member" sale, but then later it offered me tickets after all.

new member - but there were some amex tickets left

I have to say that this is the most confusing (and so far disapointing) ticket sales method ever.

Long gone are the days when I would simply ring ticket master or the venue at 9 am, wait in a queue and then order some tickets on a first come first served basis! I really miss those days! I never thought that we would have to scrap this way over a stadium show!

i bet there are still lots of tickets left, Sjs12 - if it's anything like the North American sales i watched as a bystander,
when it keeps offering the same seats over and over again, it's because the computer is programmed to sell off those tickets before it moves on to other sections.
it sure is nerve-wracking, and of course we all miss the old way - but ... ~*COURAGE!*~ it's the Rolling Stones!

Yes, but there are no tickets at any price left for new member sales. Hopefully some more will turn up later but my wife is getting pissed off that I'm spending all Sunday at the computer.

He He, showed your message to "my boss" back here, and she agree.

Thing is, I don't want to waste my Sunday at a computer. Just because Jagger has had ten thousand wives, doesn't mean that I want a divorce over the stones! I guess I'll have to go for a drive out

the whole point I guess (in theory) is to give fan club members a decent shot at good, fair priced tickets even if the rest of the tickets are a bloody rip off (in the US, there were tickets in the first five rows or so for $99). Problem is there isnt enough of them!

I'm amazed to read that Ged got block A2 with Amex, which is essentially a public sale (with no membership fee) if youre lucky enough to have an American Express credit card. I understood that the best Amex seats were in Block B.

Ged, were your Amex tickets in Block A £60 each? If they were, it completely defeats the purpose of the fan club pre-sale.

Well i thought i was destined to fight for scraps in general sale but ive managed to find a friend with an AMEX card and am currently trying for £60 pitch seats- as yet with no luck. Just wondering in what quantities(as in 1 ticket..2...3...4?) people have scored block A tix and the like for £60? Im trying to get four, which is probably a complete pipe dream and they only sprinkle the cheaper seats amongst the front few rows in pairs,i dont know?! Even if im unable to get some seats in the front few blocks for this price, does anyone know if there are any blocks right at the back of pitch seating for £60 or is it kind of a lucky dip in amongst the £90 & £150 ticket? Anything on the pitch and id be happy!! :0)

if you'd really be happy with anything on the pitch: if 4 doesn't come up at "any price", try 3 + 1. they won't be 60 GBP, but they'll be on the pitch.

Oliver,

the £60 tickets were gone in a few minutes this morning. if you were on right away, getting four was certainly doable

Block D had tickets at £90. Got four there at 10.15 am. As I got shut out of tickets for the first show because I refused to pay £150, I got these as back up with the intention of trading some of them for something for show #1 in due course

this is really getting boring! the same C2 and C3 seats over and over and over ...
which would indicate that it's *not* that there aren't any other tickets available -
just that the computer's set not to budge until a larger percentage of those sections is sold.

RKnuth, are you still working on it? pass the popcorn! :E

Boring it might be, but you're absolutely correct in your analysis. What will happen is that they'll go EVENTUALLY and then - lo and behold - a new block will be opened up. That's what happened to me at about 4:00 pm on the day Cardiff was selling. My God, you guys n' gals deserve an award for this level of persistence, if you've been there since 10:00 ce matin. Best of luck. I bet you'll never eat popcorn again after THIS day is done !!

yeah Pledge, i'm struggling with the AmEx sale here. the "new member" sale stopped offering anything hours ago. i'm sure that's temporary, though.
