At least it's better than the artwork from GGRRR ! which makes me feel ashamed of being a Stones fan.

Rock, if you don't like the new Stones music, I don't think anyone would say "Just write your own songs and record your own album."

I think it's pretty horrible, it looks AI generated. I was hoping the photoshoot in New York this year was for the album cover. The Stones looking cool in black, with a classic car.

Hopefully some of those images will be in the Hackney Diamonds Digipak.

Well, perhaps this thread could be renamed "if we had our time again", reasons being:

1. I've been taken by the comment about the title font "it looks like an old Chinese restaurant's lettering".

2. The man in the teaser telephone message starts off by saying "welcome to Acne Diamonds". It's true, have another listen. On that score alone, I think I would have kept looking for another name for the album. BTW he ends his message by saying "register for a call at acnediamonds.cum" Oh dear.

This one looks better imho:

I've got no problem with the cover and especially the title. I'd have to go back to Undercover for an album title and cover that I prefer.

If I think about it...

Blue & Lonesome - blue Tongue - on point, but a little lazy.
ABB - just no
Bridges - neutered lion. Actually reasonably apt and maybe unintentional description of what's inside.
VL - liked the title but the character always reminded me of Munsch's "Scream". Better when the animation came to life in concert.
Steel Wheels - probably the most boring cover of their career and no indication of what's inside.
Dirty Work - the band in neon...it's like a warning sign.

Painting reminds me of Australian cartoonist Michael Leunig's work.

Surely 'Undercover' has to be the worst ever cover. Tacky in the extreme. I was busy on the day of release and I asked a fellow student who was going into town to get me a copy, He was not impressed...

Yes, to your credit, I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. It's a stand-out relating to the cover of the unfortunately pronounced, twice, "Acne Diamonds".
