Who determines what cities the stones will perform? the reason I ask is Detroit is not one of the cities. it's true they performed there in 2021. just wondering as Detroit is a major market.

Pretty sure it just comes down to whatever markets they think can generate the biggest profits.

lol, where did the "there's gonna be an announcement" news come from? It doesn't seem to have come from their socials/emails

The announcement has been linked to a radio station on the West Coast posting it on their social media.

The NME has posted their "logo has been appearing around the globe" which is quite false: [www.nme.com]

Lots of other news outlets have headlines with "RS teasing 2024 World Tour".

So I don't know, maybe they know something we don't.

Remember how weird the build up and vibes were in 2022. Worked out fine though!

The New Orleans Jazz Fest has a special announcement later today. They never announce their lineup until January. They added an extra day for 2024. There is only one thing that it could be. They tried back in 2019 and 2021 to have the Stones play but neither year worked out. Is three times the charm?

Oh, I meant the US fans, that was a reference to the time of the announcement, really.

I hear you on the travel costs, though. This is not going to be a cheap mini-tour.

Yeah...I got it Topi. No offence. As much as I would love to see them again, at the same time I've got to think of my daily budget.
Things just don't go together...

Looks like Chicago hotels got word.

The Méridien Essex was about 1100 € for 5 nights yesterday morning.

It's triple the price now.

Well. It all depends where you live in Germany. Every state has different dates. Mine are not so good but I will try to see the Vegas or LA show as there are the only ones on a Saturday so far.

Was just thinking I don't believe Charlie would have signed off of the unpleasant 2022 stage design (he was always in involved in that side of things). Be interesting to see what they do next year in that regard.

i was also wondering about the stage

any of you in the know hear anything about it?

I’ll try to hear a bit around and see if I can get any details! I work with a lot of the people who’s been the stage crew and riggers for some of the tourssmiling smiley

thanks i'd appreciate that

Hey ProfessorWolf!
I’ve talked to some friends and don’t know anything about the design yet, but it’s for sure Stageco who’s building it, so keep an eye out on their websitesmiling smiley

It's apparently necessary or at least recommended to buy train tickets in advance

I took the train back to Boston after their 2019 show, never again. It was slow, dirty, and a very unpleasant ride.

I'm not sure what you mean by "dirty," but unless you have an electric vehicle, the train is far less polluting than the alternative.

Dirty as in not cleaned, I wasn't referring to pollution from a vehicle.

I understand. I was suggesting you expand your understanding of "dirty" beyond that which you can see and to include that which you breathe. People often imagine that the public sphere is "dirtier" than their private one, often incorrectly.
not sure if it was intended, but that came across as very condescending In any event, I will corroborate Loving Cup's unimagined assessment of the train being filthy.

Thank you CindyC, you understand my meaning perfectly. No need to reply to condescending statements, they're normally from people who haven't made the journey themselves.
