Why Fallon of all people? He's a TV clown and a phoney. For cheap laughs?

Why not someone real like Pete Townshend who's both a fan and a friend?

Or a writer/journalist in the know like David Fricke or Nick Kent?

^ You nailed it, for the cheap laughs. I assume Universal/the Stones org are hoping he will bring a wider audience and therefore more $$$, after all that is what absolutely EVERYTHING comes down to now in modern society, the almighty $$$ and ever increasing profit margins.

I can't stand Fallon, the guy is so fake and lame. He isn't even a good interviewer either.

I also don't love Jimmy Fallon, but who the hell cares? He's a fanboy (recall him lip syncing to Undercover Of The Night), and the band trusts him.

A great way to have a bit of fun introducing the new album.
