Was there any hype about Mick gashing his wrist open in 1975? Of course it's silly to compare then to now.
Keith seems to have some phobia to step from the sidewalk onto the street
Mick Jagger would never give anyone the opportunity to photograph him on crutches.
If he did have surgery, his leg/knee wouldn't still look as deformed as it does.
Maybe he's putting off surgery until after the release of the new album and/or after all the promo is complete.
Or perhaps there's other underlying health issues which are preventing him from having surgery for the time being.
Whatever the case, hoping for the best for Mick and the rest of the Stones as they all rapidly approach 80 years old.

Fascinating. So much to be read in the tea leaves. I look at how Keith is stand offish when he first makes the scene, the Rolls Royce (I believe) delivery - signifying rock'n'roll royalty, the wonder of "Are they looking at the idea they are still tough young Turks getting set to p*ss in an alley?." I think they need to look at Neil and make it low key and real. There are many Stones life long Stones fans that would dig the living hell out of this.

Looking into it, it's usually a lack of stability in the hips that can cause the knee to go in like that.

Yeah, wish them all well. But what maximum athletic performances can one expect from them? They are very old guys, Ronnie's 76 years old, and Mick & Keith are approaching 80. In the Staple Street video I note that all three of them are moving very, very carefully - in every single step. In a video of one of Ronnie's recent guest appearances in London, I noted he entered stage propelling himself in a rather shaky way. Let's hope for the best. Take it easy Mick!

Well why would they ? It's not exactly good news you want to share with the world, especially when you've been known for your physical prowess for your whole life. And as has been mentioned before, it's not like anybody's plans were altered, they (apparently) pulled the plug before that could become an issue. Judging by that video they were 100% right to do it too.

There is nothing to "withhold". If you are at age 80 or so you do not make public statements every time there is something in your body that is not 100% like it was at age 20. It is a photo shoot, it is not a press conference.

Having had a good look at the street view posted some pages back, I think anyone of any age or physical condition would be walking gingerly over that unevenly paved street with large patches of asphalt and stone pavers, but especially someone in their late 70s.

The fact he hasn't had surgery on it is a valid conversation, it's strange for a driven athlete like Mick not to have got it sorted after all these months.
