About Got Live If you want it!: is this the LP or the EP?

Even more confusion: [RecordStoreDay.com] also shows the EP version. But the Amazon pictures show a LP version with 2024 copyright & same barcode.

So the release date is May 17, though the actual RSD date is April 20, just to add to the fun. When I check RSD's list there are 2 stones releases, a white vinyl Racket release and a black and blue swirled vinyl debut album.

In my knowledge, there is no RSD release for GLIYWI in 2024. Is it possible that the RSD site also mentions other (than RSD) new releases?

Could have something to do with the RSD online marketplace - [RSDMRKT.com] .

I don't recall the titles now, but I do remember certain titles getting special releases after RSD day last year. Not sure why they do that as it 'dilutes' the effect of having it all in one day. Possibly as they weren't going to be ready in time?

Nice! Now we only have to wait for the debut album on black vinyl (last one?). The RSD version is out, so no reason to hold back this one.

@BV:

Maybe an idea to combine this thread with the thread: "Goldmine’s “Flowers” and following releases by ABKCO"?

ABKCO did an expanded version of More Hot Rocks when they remastered the collection in 2002. Side 4 has a few extra tracks.

Looks like this was only for the 2002 CD/SACD - [en.Wikipedia.org] - and the bonus tracks are not part of the 2023 Vinyl reissue - [www.Amazon.fr] .

Just got the red and blue remix comps... a glorious couple of comps that have been expanded beyond the original issues.

The Beatles win again.

Although it's not the Stones' fault - ABKCO sucks.

I don't get what the Beatles win. ABKCO did do it in 2002 when they remastered the collection. More Hot Rocks had three bonus tracks added: Everybody Needs Somebody To Love, Poison Ivy version 2, and I've Been Loving You Too Long.

It was kind of a joke hence the ABKCO sucks quip.

ABKCO was only remasters, original mono mixes as well as stereo mixes and in some cases, corrected speed, fantastically remastered by Bob Ludwig, who remastered the Virgin reissues.

However, the Red album got an extra 12 songs (possibly as a slight piss-off to Klein's handling of the original release) - all remixed, some specifically for the release, the rest from 1 ie no original mixes.

The Blue album got 9 extra tracks - all remixed, the same as above.

Combine the Red and Blue with the RUBBER SOUL - LET IT BE remixed plus bonus material, 1, and the three anthologies plus two singles with extra tracks - it makes ABKCO look silly.

They did it to themselves. Certainly Mick and Keith could change things now and allow unreleased tracks as bonus material, remixed albums, since the originals are all in print and preserved digitally at hopefully the highest bit-rate possible (hopefully ALL the multi-track masters and masters - videos, too, film - stored in multiple locations because, if true, how unfortunate that all the UMG artists' analog masters were lost in the UMG warehouse fire in June of 2008, of many record labels and many artists, apparently over 500,000 songs destroyed. The Rolling Stones weren't with UMG at the time of the fire).
