Disagreeing with Roger Waters would be one thing but designating him to the "idiot section" is way more telling about you. Perhaps it's getting sort of difficult to disagree the more you listen to him?

Well, I hope it does tell something about me. But I think you seemingly understanding or even agreeing with him is a showcase how dangerous the 'useful idiots' like him are these days (he is the poster boy if anyone for that). The horrible forces that sort of naive, ego-maniac, idealistic, pseudo-intellectual bullshit serves is frightening. But someone out there surely is pleased as it seems to work. Eric and Van are just mild, almost innocent stuff with their small self-centered issues shocking their little privileged world compared to god-like-acting Roger.
But I am afraid this topic goes beyond the scope here, so I better stop here.

We Are Winding Down
It's not so much that The Rolling Stones cancelled their 2023 tour because of whatever, which somehow is still a mystery last I knew but that the age counter is approaching faster than ever:
Willie Nelson is 90.
Ringo is 82.
Bob Dylan is 81.
Paul... 80.
Mick Jagger is 79.
Keith... 79.
Roger Daltrey... 79.
Pete Townshend... 78.
Jimmy Buffett is 76.
Iggy Pop - 76.
Ronnie Wood... 75.
Robert Plant is 74.
Bruce is 73.
Sting is 71.
I'm sure I'm missing some but the following generation is just entering or are their 60s: U2, The Cult, Def Leppard, The Cure, Tears For Fears...
Then there's the 50s approaching 60...
Eddie Vedder is 58.
We are winding down to what most of us have always known - the moon, the sun, the stars and The Rolling Stones.
In this case the embodiment of The Rolling Stones represents the overall in regard to the age of the generation.

Lucky we are, if you still like to go see old rock stars. As a kid I saw Duke Ellington in Atlantic City at the Steel Pier, 1966. He would have been 67 at the time. He was considered ancient, and his band, what was left of it, would play his greatest hits. (Sound familiar?) By that point Duke had performed more one night stands than anyone ever will. Duke died at age 75. Here we are, paying an arm, leg, and whatever else they can wring from us, to wallow, gladly, in nostalgia for a night.
The generation before us was not so lucky. Their heroes packed it in long before they were octogenarians. The years have fleetingly past. There's a lot more behind than there is ahead.
