That was an excellent quiz Erik.
Another tune w/o Charlie on drums is of course "Happy". Don't know if it has been said. I knew that anser about SFTD btw. I think they also did another song thaty night as encore. Maybe Let it Rock???
Is "Dum Dum Boys" really about the Stones? LOL I love that song! Isn't that the one that starts out w/ Iggy asking "What ever happend to Zeke? Oh he od'ed..." stuff like that?

And Erik, there was an interview on Austrina TV that Jagger did right after the Vienna show in '70. He is polite and doesn't come right out and say it but it seems like he was frustrated with the Austrian audience because they were so sedate and boring. No response.
Jagger had JUST met Bianca a few days before for first time.

Yeah, Dum Dum Boys is about the Stones, Ive read. But I think Iggy must have said so in an interview, because one cant be sure just by hearing the lyrics.
Bianca met Mick in Paris 1970, that was on the quiz 2 weeks ago :-) Just search for Friday Night Stones Quiz or Saturday Stones Quiz.
I thought "everybody" had discovered about Fiji Jim. with sssoul knew though. Pretty strange to make a new song about this person 10 years later, and its not actually famous Stones-song to start with.
Im kind of running out of ideas, so I dont know if there will be more quizes, maybe next weekend.
So the Vienna audience is like the London audience, eh? Interesting.
One question that didnt make it (I only needed 12) was: Where was the front cover of "No Security" shot? Answer: Vienna.
See you gals and boys. (I never dare to write guys/gays because I cant remember what means "men" and what means "homosexual".)

usually when I do these quizes, I just got by memory, but the Family question got me wondering, so I looked up the lyrics on Keno, thinking I might have gotten the words wrong.

Keno had the lyrics as,

....When he's finally realized
That he can't play his guitar like E.G. Jim
Or write St. Augustine if he tried

I had no idea who E.G. Jim was, so I didn't question it. I would've liked to have gotten that question.

Anyway, thanks for putting it together, good fun.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

>> E.G. Jim <<
ahh the perils of lyric sites! timeisonourside.com has i think "E.G. Gin".
in fact i was just listening to a bootleg with Family the other day and Fiji Jim leapt out at me - i'd never really noticed it before.
so Erik's question was a case of synchronicity at its finest.

"What do you want - what?!"

Thanks you. It always strike me as funny this imaginary Fiji Jim. Or is it a real fellow?

Hey Erik, I'm pretty sure Charlie is no where to be found on one of my favorites, "Too Much Blood." (but then again, your question was about "famous songs")

Hi Lukester! He isn't? I haven't noticed that. By famous I mean A-side of single, or often-played-in-concert.
Neverthless, you did NOT win the quiz! smiling smiley
