A long time ago I read a review of Fred Hardin somewhere, I don't know if it was on IORR. It was called: Getting into Vredenburg.
For me it was a very pleasant read and I still have it saved on my computer!! Sometimes when I'm go through my Stones-documents, I'll find it and have to read it again, and again!!
For anybody who is interested, here is a link to download:

Thanks for posting those pics mrfancyman!thumbs up

There's a couple I haven't seen before, and the ones I have seen weren't of the same high quality as the ones you've posted.
While they're all great pics, this one in particular truly captures the intimacy and the electricity, and brings back the amazing memories of standing inches in front of Mick:

John Nicholls

Ho John, I'm happy to read you... and what a good idea to have brought back to light these EXCELLENT memories of Vredenburg. What a journey my friend! winking smiley
This fiery return from the Ahoy in the car where we were all both shaken from the show we had just attended, and tensed at the idea of perhaps being able to go even higher the next day.
... I got number 100 of the new list (number 5 the day before, what a tumble smiling smiley)... LUCKY US in the end!

Claude and Didier gave me news of you in Lyon and Paris. Send me an e-mail please I have changed my number.
See you very soon.

Franck

Great to see this pictures and the list with all the names. I was there (no 19) together with no 20+ 21. Still remember that I nearly missed the ticket sales. I was so tired after spending the day before and the whole night in front of the building so that I left the place Thank you to the nice people who were responsible for the list who made it possible for us to let us in again.

All the best
Birgit

Thanks again to the fan who let me join the list, because he/his friend couldn't make it.. Forever thankful for this great experience!

Not so good how other fans reacted,as I didn't take anybody's number.. very uncool and non solidarity among fans.. Sad Sad Sad!

Thanks for posting video and pictures it was an incredible experience getting into Vredenburg. I was 97 in the queue after being number 4. I decided to go to the Ahoy the night before and had to rejoin the queue when I got back to Vredenburg.

The Montage of multiple images were mine. Not the night sleepers image.
Such a great Stones experience for us!
