Big Sugar cover of 'Too Rude'
Date: June 15, 2022 02:32

Canadian blues rock and reggae band Big Sugar posted a cover of 'Too Rude' back in January 2021.

Edit note - I forgot to initially mention that 'Too Rude' is originally written by Lindon Roberts, Lowell Dunbar, and Robbie Shakespeare. The song was originally recorded by the Jamaican reggae star Half Pint with the title of 'Winsome.'

Then later of course, The Stones recorded it for Dirty Work.

Big Sugar opened for The Rolling Stones in Toronto on the No Security Tour, as noted here.

Big Sugar founder Gordie Johnson discusses Charlie Watts and opening for The Stones below.

Regarding the encounter with Keith's guitar tech Pierre that Gordie mentions:

Joe Satriani was touring Australia and New Zealand in November 2014, on his Unstoppable Momentum tour, as noted here.

Sit Down Servant featuring Gordie Johnson was the support act.

The Stones were touring Australia and New Zealand tour October-November 2014 on their 14 On Fire tour, as noted here.
