What's that? an early take of the song?...

... do you mean the version that's in Gimme Shelter, with an additional guitar and no sax?

If it's the version that ends with Jagger saying "Ooooooh Baby" it's a studio outtake from the sessions at the Muscle Shoals Sound Studios in Alabama. December 3. 1969.

Always loved this version because of the raw vocals!

Barcelona, thought you ment with "brrrrrr" the noise that Jagger makes?
If you mean the sound of the spanish "castanettes" than it's probably the version "with sssoul" mentioned before.

and the version i mentioned before was recorded at Muscle Shoals - that's what it's doing in Gimme Shelter.
but if you mean the *really* raunchy version, with Clapton on slide, that was reportedly recorded on Keith's 26th birthday (december 18th 1969).

"What do you want - what?!"

barcelona,
you can find this version on the black box (yellow dog rec.)
cd 3 / track 12 where it is listed as brown sugar#1.
jagger is shouting "yo" at the beginning and then those
"brrrrr" you mean.

Yep...it's the Muscle Shoals Dec 3 1969 version....no guitar solo instead Mick twice repeats "Brown Sugar ... Sure Tastes Good".

Actually I didn't pull it from any boot.
Once every now and again I like to search on Kazaa or limewire with phrases like "rare stones" or "unreleased rolling stones". Usually I end up with nothing but once in a while you hit the jackpot......
