Another way to look at the lack of fireworks, inflatables, confetti and a decent looking stage are that this is questionable penny-pinching from a band that prided itself for decades on creating an "extravaganza" worthy of the moniker Greatest Rock & ROll Band in the World.

Along with the apparent inability to re-schedule a Bern show before the end of the July it goes a long way to lending credence to the prediction this is the end.

And what day would you like the Bern show? What day in July. Pick one and tell me about logistics.

Instead of A Bigger Bang it's sort of become A Minor Whimper.
Gone are the days of old with all the bells and whistles including the fireworks and massive state of the art stage - now it's come to animated sparklers and the budget "El Cheapo" stage as some have called it.
But as long as there's "fireworks" with their performances, all is well, but even that is debatable as those so-called fireworks have become somewhat muted and/or few and far between during these latter years.

Meanwhile, hoping Mick makes a full recovery if he hasn't yet, and that he and the band will be fully ready for the rest of the upcoming shows.
And hopefully for those with tickets, Bern is rescheduled ASAP.

Frankly, I always hated seeing fireworks at the end of a Stones show.

I thought they functioned like an "Applause!" sign at a TV show taping. Used to goose a response out of the crowd.

Pandering to a crowd coming for spectacle--not music--who couldn't name all the Stones if asked.

For people desiring a sensory experience, the new trend instead of fireworks is drone light shows.

Drone light show! That’s it.

The Stones should have adopted that for the SIXTY Tour.

…ah, no. The sky is still too bright for the show start. And I don’t see that work for the end of the show.

Fireworks at the end of the show don't matter to me, but during the show pyro really can add something. The explosions during the intro's of Start me Up and JJF were amazing on the Voodoo Lounge and BTB tour. Flares and smoke on Not Fade Away and STFD gave those songs really something extra.

Guns N'Roses also ditched all the pyro and fireworks from their show this and last year.
Maybe its a cost cut. Or a environmental thing.
Rammstein still uses pyro alot.

I’m wondering if it could also be a supply thing. Still lots of items not overly available.

Also Guns N' Roses ditched the confetti.
For years they used to use confetti on Paradice City.
Cant imagine thats a supply issue.
