I must admit I do like all the artists I've heard about, that are performing outside at Buckingham Palace tonight.

Queen with Adam Lambert, Elton John, Rod Stewart doing two songs,Nile Rodgers, George Ezra and Diana Ross, and I do hope the rain doesn't come down as they will get very wet.

Hope Elton does Benny and The Jets and it's all on UK BBC 1 tonight 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
A nice bit of musical entertainment for the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations here in the UK.

Weather has been pretty good in London Town this evening and no rain.
Queen opened up the show and loved their performance of We Will Rock You,We Are The Champions and Don't Stop Me Now.
Good start and the gig is going to have acts to suit all ages from teenagers to 70-80 years or older and all types of music and dance.

Have you ever heard Rod Stewart singing 'Sweet Caroline'?

Well he did tonight outside Buckingham Palace, and here in the UK it's more or less been another National Anthem the past couple of years in Sporting Events, amongst general sing songs whenever we fancy it.

Cheers bbj, and was hoping they see the gig all over the world, the good bits and also other performers that don't appeal to everyone, depending on what you like or don't like.

Well Diana Ross is truly the Star of the show in my opinion and what a voice.
Last time I saw Diana Ross live was as a school kid with my sis and her friend taking our now 96 year old Mum to the show at Kingston Granada ......... way back on their first Tamla Motown tour about 1964

Was Elton John there, or did I miss it somewhere?

I must admit I felt quite emotional at times with the enthusiasm of the huge, huge crowd and the feeling of what this occasion was all about.
Things like seeing the painting of the Queen by Ronnie and best wishes, and many other touching moments in the audience, including the Royal Family who were there.

Rod’s voice is getting a lot weaker unfortunately. He hasn’t been the same since his throat op a few years back and got steadily worse. I saw him a couple of times back in the 90s when he was still full of energy and singing well.

Alicia Keys singing about New York was classless and self-centered. It’s not all about you, diva.

Celeste’s robotic performance of What A Wonderful World ruined that song.

Otherwise, we enjoyed the whole extravaganza, watching here in the US. I could feel the joy and celebratory spirit of the folks gathered in person for the event.

Let’s do it again in 2092!
