Favorite Track From Each LP

A tall order. But.

It certainly can create a definitive aspect of The Rolling Stones via... it's not a competition, no one is "right", it's just subjective, yet possibly defining.

There might be your favorite song yet there may be one that is "better", perhaps a single.

The problem is just one. So... figure it out. Today. In 3 years it may be different. 5 years ago it may've been different.

UK albums only in regard to anything pre-1967 preferably. If that means include a hits comp, fine. The original home of Jumpin' Jack Flash and Honky Tonk Women, album wise, is THROUGH THE PAST DARKLY, so that makes sense, right?

Right. BUT! At least in regard to the year/not album of that song. In other words, don't say Doctor if you say Jumpin' Jack Flash. Don't say Gimme Shelter if you say Honky Tonk Women.

No live albums/singles.

TATTOO YOU is the one anomaly - since nothing was recorded for it, it represents 4 album sessions, so it doesn't matter what track it is.

I read that a while later and thought, What the hell did I mean? Because those two tracks are on an album so if you chose JJF in place of anything else from BEGGARS, even though JJF's album is 1969, it's a 1968 track.

Probably a bad idea. It really is meant for studio albums only, which eliminates a handful of songs from HITS 2, SUCKING, FLASHPOINT and FORTY LICKS, RARITIES and the 2012 one or HONK plus stand alone singles.
