Yes this image would have worked as a band-shot cover.. No loud colours nor the band strangely posed around a couch. On the other hand maybe it's just a bit boring.
Did Guy Peellaert do the IORR cover? I must say I like the cover but now
that the Nazi connection was brought up - not sure.
I always figured it was the other way around...a great album makes the cover great..

Interesting that some don't like Metamorphosis, since the idea descends from the Flowers cover.

It's a striking image, Mick & Keith look similar.. Bill sees something in Charlies head, Charlie is thoughtful, Ron Wood looks a bit scarily demented and what's with Jagger being naked.

By the way, did you ever see Guy Peellaert's painting of the Stones in Nazi uniforms? Or in S&M drag? Glad that wasn't the cover.

I may be the only one on this board who likes the Dirty Work cover. I liked the red shrink wrap. Thought the photo was fine.
I thought ER was awful. Just awful. Tatto You was bad because it didn't show, or mention, the other band menbers, or the Sonny Rollins etc. Something tells me that was rushed.
