I was in Starbucks today (yeah, I know , I suck), and humming along to the stereos familiar tune, until it hit me that it was "Any way you look at it." Followed by the remix of "miss you". This was obviously the Rarities Cd, however the store didn't have it among the Cd's they sell or any other posted sign about it or anything. I was in a hurry and wasn't going to bother goint back in line and asking the busy guy behind the counter, who I'm sure wouldn't have had a clue what I was on about. I'm probably not gonna buy it anyway, but I was just wondering, is this actually being sold anywhere yet? Damn, who am I kidding, I'm gonna buy it!

Probably the same for Denmark. I'll either buy this or the ABB special edition. I'll probably buy ABB, because there's new stuff on there, and then I'll get the rarities for Christmas.

So was Miss You the Dr Dr remix or the original 12" Disco Mix?

I heard it at Starbucks too. I was walking by the one a few blocks from my house and heard Fancyman Blues on the outdoor speakers. At first I thought WOW - who brought that in to play? I hung around a couple minutes and next was Tumblin' Dice live - then I realized that I was hearing the new CD.

I had the same experience. Heard Tumbling Dice last time I was in Fourbucks and I thought . . . it's better than a kick in the head or any of the other music they could've been playing.

"Fancyman Blues"--what a great track. I've just always loved that.

If Starbucks is pushing "Rarities," (I have never once heard "ABB" in Starbucks)how funny would it be if this record actually took off?

It would be so cool to have "Fancyman" and "Let It Rock" and a few others have an actual life as part of the Stones' repetoire.

Say what you will about Starbucks, it gets people who are otherwise inattentive to music--even to their own former idols--to start listening again.

The used stores here in Toronto usually get a load of these
things, seemingly new copies, a few weeks after
they are released at Starbucks, and sell
them for real cheap. $10 Canadian.
Go figure! Works for me.
