I think the idea was a complete joke, and I certainly took it that way. You can find it 'not' funny, everyone is different but understand there's humour in everything and people will find the humour in this.

It's a normal coping mechanism and it can help dealing with it. But you don't have to find it funny, maybe just understand that's what's going on.

If you actually read my post, I'm not sure you internalized it. I did say people use humour as a coping mechanism.

You don't have to find it, or anything funny, but perhaps understand that's how a lot of people cope.

People joke around at funerals...it's just human nature.
