OVERPLAYED SONGS

This thread was prompted by listening to the radio at work. What do you think is the most OVER-PLAYED song on pop radio...ie. classic rock, soft rock formats. My vote...I just listened to "Black Water by the Doobies for the 346,000 time! Not a bad song the first 50 listens...but blow it up!!

Hmmm, "Hotel California" comes to mind but I hardly ever listen to commercial radio. College stations have much more interesting and diverse fare I think.

Avoid radio whenever possible, but whenever i do get to hear it, you can bet your life, it'll be "Angels" by Robbie Williams,
or some other rubbish IKEA music, such as the latest Dido track.
Madonna, Kylie, are also the source of constant irritation....
but nothing beats the grating, infuriating, disease-like wailing,
of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful"...yuck. He even followed me, when i went on holiday to Australia...there's no escape from the muppet.

Any hit song by Boston, Steve Miller or REO Speedwagon. And any rap song because they all sound the same to me.

The Stones Satisfaction is overplayed on "oldies radio" seems as if everyone but real Stones fans must like it. It may be one of my least favourites.

Old Time Rock and Roll Bob S., I think
Yeah, probably Free Bird...I saw a group do a little thing about it because they got so sick of it being requested that they just flipped everyone off and said, "Here's your "FREE Bird"

Oh, c'mon! There's never enough TO & Dawn on the radio! Twice on the pipe if the answer is no!

Henley wasn't kidding when he said "you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave."

Hotel California is the song playing in all the elevators in Hell.

Hotel California by far. Automatic station changer as soon as you hear the first note.

Manfred Mann's version of "Blinded By The Light" and Rick Derringer's "Rock and Roll Hoochie Coo" are two miserable things that are way overplayed by dopey "Classic Rock" stations.
