dmayI've read some boo-shee stuff in my time about songs and who they're about it. I'd put this right up there in that category, but y'all be the judge.

quite absurd stuff. One major problem in this way of interpreting Dylan's lyrics is that those interpretations don't dig deep enough nor go back long enough in time. Lots of Dylan's lyrics and the phrases he uses go back to Shakespeare, the Bible, ancient poetry etc. Others are based phrases from blues songs, the folk tradition and/or proverbs which are unspecific. For example: 'time is on his/her side' is a very common phrase which can't be traced to a song some band recorded etc. And quite a lot of words in Dylan's lyrics, well, he just used them for rhyme's sake (suit/flute for example)
