I remember reading about the controversy about this video when it came out (a few years before). Hilarious!

That's not very "woke" is it? You could never pull a stunt like that today and expect to get away with it. Of course, if someone were to make a promo showing Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion pegging some white dude, I'm sure no one would have a problem with that. tongue sticking out smiley

I think the print ad caused the controversy back then. Was it Jerry Hall in the ad?

I've never seen this before.

I thinks it’s the same girl who was on the poster and on the billboards at the time. No idea who that was

Cringeworthy for sure by todays standards.. and a bit then, but lots of that type of imagery in the mid-seventies, where films like Deep Throat and Happy Hooker played at mainstream theaters etc.

It's a time capsule. Funny to think that was remotely acceptable...sort of along the lines of 'black girls just wanna get...'. Wouldn't fly now, and that's a good thing.

Big deal. Let's not cancel the past. It wasn't all that controversial then. It's not even that interesting a promo. No production values at ll.

Rock and roll has often played with bad taste, I used to love it and I still love it.

When the decision was made to run this, there was probably a lot of coke involved.
