Satisfaction
Jumping jack Flash
Brown Sugar
Honkey Tonk Woman all for sure
You Can't always Get What Want
Gimme Shelter
Street Fighting Man

Start me up? Its only rock n Roll?, Tumbling Dice? You'd think these 3 as much as Mick likes to include most setlists.

Am I wrong or missing any? Or really only top 3 I mentioned? MEZ

Actually, you're pretty much right James. Some others: Miss You and You Got Me Rocking (pretty much a modern day warhorse). I'd maybe include Paint It Black and Midnight Rambler as well although as far as this tour has gone, they've been played rather sparingly. Just my opinion.smiling smiley

pretty surprising James...

do you think you missed Angie???

As ballads go, I'd say Wild Horses was long the warhorse of those.

I'd say ballads those are the 2. If band had to pick one more defining they'd go with Horses as would I. Angie a warhorse or Horses.

The reason I asked this specific is so many threads when talking about setlists & only 4-5 spots to switch songs due to obligatory warhorses.

But what exactly defines term as I think most of us would agree broadly but specific? In other words we may be speaking to different songs all together when assumming the other knows the exact term. Of course no definite answer I was just curious how others interpreting.

Ive had you got me rocking, paint it black, Angie & horses & many here probably disagree you see so we don't know even what we are speaking to or referring to each other on half these threads. "warhorses"

We all argee JJF, Satisfaction, Brown Sugar, Honkey tonk, Start me up. Thats probably it Sympathy? & others mentioned????

IMO
Street Fighting Man is argueable.
I myself wouldn't put it in the warhorse file.
I define them as songs being played every time, every show, every tour. Was it played in 81/82?
It was played alot during the UJ tour but the US Steel Wheels didn't get it.
VL Tour it was a staple pretty much. I don't think Bridges or No Security tour got it at all (or that much). Licks it showed up some. And it doesn't look like we will get it this tour.

For sure
Satisfaction
Jumping jack Flash
Brown Sugar
Honkey Tonk Woman
Sympathy
