Do you think these songs are clearly influenced by the Stones?

Maybe i am wrong, maybe it's my imagination only, but i think that...

(A) ...Primal Scream's "Loaded" is Sympathy For The Devil (i mean the rythm)

(cool smiley ... On the intro of Dandy Warhols "Bohemian Like You" sounds the Brown Sugar's riff.

What do you think?

Lots of Primal Scream's stuff sounds like the Stones. Good band. Haven't heard the other.

"bohemian like you" (excellent song) borrows very strongly from Brown Sugar (and I hear a bit of JJF in there too)

Primal Scream have always ripped the Stones off - theyve even dipped into their bootlegs to sound like them

"Rocks" (which I think was even produced by Jimmy Miller) not only borrows heavily from "rocks off" but the bridge is a direct lift from the bridge on "Criss Cross Mind" (two songs that Miller even produced!)

Get your rocks off
Get your rocks off honey
Shake 'em now now
Shake 'em up downtown

Can't remember exactly if that's how it goes hence me not putting it in quotations! Love that tune! I don't care if Primal Scream rips off the boys, it's still good groovin' music imo. Speaking of influences, does anybody hear Sway when they listen to Sister Luck by the Black Crowes or is it just me? smiling smiley

My impression is that Primal Scream's "Loaded" possibly may have been influenced through the versions of "Sympathy for the Devil", made by the Slovenian band Laibach. See

and scroll down to September 25th , 1988. I have listened to neither of them lately, but that is what I once thought.
