Which song could they add to their setlist to please both the normal and the iorr-fans? (only one & never played live before):

My choice: Miss Amanda Jones

Not sure if "normal fans" would really know that. I would love to hear them play Mother's Little Helper or As Tears Go By. I know they rehearsed MLH for the Licks tour and ATGB for this one but neither have these are ever played. And they are both amongst the band's greatest hits.

are you trying to imply that "IORR fans" arent 'normal'?

On second thoughts, maybe you're right....

I think "Under My Thumb" appeals to the hardcores and the casual fans.

The Stones have a "new" record coming out...

Why not "Fancyman Blues?" Or "Let It Rock?"

Has "One Hit" ever been performed live? I think casual fans would recall this one as much as diehards will enjoy it. Failing that, "Harlem Shuffle" could perhaps also fit the bill.....

One Hit and Harlem were both perform in 89. They would be welcome to come back again!

Definately 'Under My Thumb'. I hear it on my local classic rock radio station all the time and a few of my friends who are only casual Stones fans cite this as their favorite song. It's well known but rarely played. If it is done, I hope it is the same style as the '81 version...that one cooked.

I agree. Under My Thumb. '81 indeed cooked but '98 was very laid back and it also had it's good points. Keith on the strat, playing some almost jazzy licks. Darryl was actually playing the main riff a bit. Very cool too.

All Down the Line might fit the bill.

How about "@#$%&"? Coupled with "All down the line", that setlist would be the monster bomb along with a Keith "Happy" and "Slipping Away".

It has to be something they rehearsed, so the best choice would be Mick Jagger walking up the the microphone opening song screaming "What a drag it is getting old"

Mother's Little Helper...

It amazes me how so many of their hit songs are treated as obscurities yet other songs that aren't nearly as good as treated as hits, like You Got Me Rocking.
