Can't wait to hear the record. I heard a recording of a club show & it's killer. Mike way up on my favorite guitar player list.

Great record! Some people don't realize how integral Mike Campbell was to Tom Petty's sound. Besides co-writing a lot of the songs (+ Don Henley's Boys of Summer amongst others), Mike co-produced most of the records, Heartbreakers & solo. While Tom was a better singer, Mike is a better guitar player. & happily there is plenty of evidence of that on the Dirty Knobs record. I can't buy many cds these days but I will be getting this one for sure!

A raucous jam indeed! I'm ordering as well. thumbs up

Could really see Tom singing on this one as a Heartbreakers album too, but I'm not dismissing Campbell's lineup either - solid players

The best Robin of all times.
Really an odd and interesting man. He supported Petty unconditionally. Put up with a lot of things most guitarists would not. He would give Petty great demos that TP would sit on for months. Didn't confront TP on his drug use.
Must be a very humble man who knew his limitations and was grateful for his place in a great band.
