What if the Rarities CD is a hit?

Let's say this Starbuck's ploy works and Rarities becomes a hit.
I don't really expect this to happen but truth is stranger than fiction.
Then ABB gets a bump on the charts. The demand is so great for the winter and spring leg of the tour and because they are unable to schedule any additional dates they promise to come back in the fall for more arena dates. Both CDs stay in the top 200 for year or more and a fall 2006 setlist could look like this.

1. Oh No Not You Again
2. Brown Sugar
3. Live With Me
4. Ain't Too Proud To Beg
5. It Won't Take Long
6. Sweet Virginia
7. Beast of Burden
8. Laugh, I Nearly Died
9. Gimme Shelter
INTROS
10. This Place is Empty
11. Little T & A
12. Rain Fall Down (to B Stage)
13. Street Fighting Man
14. Fancy Man Blues
15. Harlem Shuffle (return to main stage)
16. Honky Tonk Women
17. Tumbling Dice
18. Sympathy for the Devil
19. Satisfaction
Encores
20. Let it Rock
21. Jumpin Jack Flash

A guy can dream can't he?

As much as I dislike "planet stores" like Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, etc., hats off to Starbucks for supporting and promoting a lot of great music.

I don't think that it will be a massive hit, but it will sell good. Alanis Morissette's CD worked very well for her, I'll be surprised if Rarities sell the same.

How many rarities will be following? Is this going to be a series? Where is "think I'm going mad" f.i. or the remixes of "Too much blood". Instead we get live versions of best known songs as fillers for the album.

If it's doing good at the counters in the stores, there's no doubt that this could be the start of a series of "Rarities" discs. That's not a bad thing isn't it? Bob Dylan has his Bootleg Series, so why shouldn't the Stones have their Rarities series? We'll just have to wait and see what happens since the 3 album record deal is over, or isn't it?
