Rolling Stones in concert

This day, 50 years ago, I went to my first Rolling Stones concert in Solna (Stockholm) at Råsunda stadium. About 10000 in the audience and the show lasted for approx 1 hour. They played all songs from Get yer ya-yas out, Prodigal son and You got to move. Maybe a couple more that I have forgotten...as I started with, it has been fifty years since then....

Happy Anniversary.

If they were playing in Jonkoping tonight, I'd be there!

Good for you, Ragnbert. You caught them when they were on top. Lucky you. I took them another 25 years to visit Stockholm again - in 1995. I was at that gig. Maybe you too?

Ragnbert by the way, makes me think of Dagobert. And his sandwiches...

Interesting, in the States he is generally known as Dagwood Bumstead.

Dagobert Krikelin over here (Sweden). The cartoon was called Blondie (his wife). I guess it's out of press now...

...and across the pond and the continent, Led Zeppelin were playing at the L.A. ‘Fabulous’ Forum — the ‘Live On Blueberry Hill’ concert made famous by the seminal bootleg album.

American origins.... > Blondie comic strip that led to a series of movies > Blondie movies.
Didn't realize it made it to other countries - in the comic strip link (under "Foreign versions"), it mentions Dagobert and the reference to sandwich's.

In a related twist, back in the '70's I was school friends with the grandson of actor Arthur Lake who played Dagwood in those movies.

I am shocked that Blondie is still running. I remember reading it for years and years. It's like 90 years old!

How did we end up like this. Starting with my first Stones concert and ending up with these cartoons?smileys with beer

Of course I went to the concert at Stockholm Stadion in 1995 too. I think I have seen them everytime in Sweden since 1970 with the exception of 1973 when I was doing my military service and had no chance to go
